Amie Mischler, Community Director

Amie, who joined the team in June, 2016, oversees the daily operations including meals, services, and cares. Her focus is to foster an environment in which employees can learn and grow and in which residents feel safe, comfortable and at home. As is true of each team member, Amie strives to fulfill our community mission — “Passionately Enriching the Lives of Seniors.”

Amy Hills, RN, Health Care Coordinator

Amy, who joined the team in 2019, oversees the assisted living care residents receive at Appleton Retirement Community. Amy’s years of nursing experience lend well to her position as a mentor to nurses and caregivers. Amy performs resident assessments, creates ongoing training opportunities for caregiving staff and ensures compliance with all state and federal regulations.

Amber Nett, Administrative Assistant

Amber, who joined the team in 2011, provides resident, marketing and staff support. If you have a question, she will help you find the answer. Amber distributes invoices and collects monthly rent payments. Should she be unavailable, rent payments can be placed in the “OFFICE” mailbox to the right of the “OUTGOING MAIL” box in the main lobby.

Amber also enjoys getting to know new residents and their families and helping them make a smooth transition to ARC by providing a new resident orientation.

Sara Fawcett, Community Relations Coordinator

Sara, who joined the team in 2001, works with prospective residents and their families. She coordinates the move in process. In addition to handling all marketing, Sara also educates the community on what Appleton Retirement Community offers seniors.

Sheila Danitz, Health Services Coordinator

Sheila, who joined the team in 2000, provides support to the Health Care Coordinator and the caregiving team.  She works closely with the Health Care Coordinator in coordinating care and services for our residents.  Sheila assists residents in coordinating their medical appointments as well as transportation to those appointments.

Desiree Lindhom, AM LPN

Desiree, who joined the team in 2015,  provides nursing oversight during the day. Desiree works closely with the Health Care Coordinator and assists with resident reassessments, monthly vitals, communications with physicians, etc.  As a First Aid instructor, Desiree also keeps all staff current on their First Aid training.

Elizabeth Bridges, PM LPN

Elizabeth, who joined the team in 2017, provides nursing oversight in the afternoon and evening. Elizabeth works closely with the Health Care and Health Services Coordinators and assists with resident reassessments, monthly vitals, communications with physicians, training of new staff and much more.  Elizabeth enjoys learning about each resident’s individual needs.  She feels each day is a new opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents.

Ann Turner, Lead Resident Assistant

Ann, who joined the team in 2006, provides overnight support to the Health Care Coordinator and leadership to the caregiving team.

Renee Bourassa, Lead Resident Assistant

Renee, who joined the team in 2016, provides daytime support to the Health Care Coordinator and leadership to the caregiving team.  She assists day staff in maintaining a high standard of service while ensuring personalized resident care for all our assisted living residents.

Kayla Parker, LPN, Lead Resident Assistant

Kayla, who joined the team in 2017, provides daytime support to the Health Care Coordinator and leadership to the caregiving team.  She assists day staff in maintaining a high standard of service while ensuring personalized resident care for all our assisted living residents.

Colleen Brickner, Life Enrichment Coordinator

Colleen, who joined the team in 2001, leads the Life Enrichment Department in planning and executing activities, events and trips for the residents.  Her goal is to organize stimulating and interesting activities to enrich the lives of our residents.

Jodi Spence, Culinary Services Coordinator

Jodi, who joined the team in 2016, oversees the dining services department. She prepares menus and oversees meal preparation. Jodi appreciates resident feedback at monthly resident council meetings.  Jodi encourages residents to submit their favorite recipes for consideration as menu items.

Valerie Barton, Environmental Services Coordinator

Valerie, who joined the team in 2012, oversees the housekeeping and maintenance services. She coordinates the resident apartment cleaning schedule as well as the cleaning of the rest of the building. Valerie also coordinates maintenance of apartments as well as the rest of the community and grounds. Valerie has a real heart for our residents and keeps their comfort and well-being at the forefront of all she does and plans.
