Amie Mischler, Community Director

Amie, who joined the team in 2016, oversees the daily operations including meals, services and cares. Her focus is to foster an environment in which employees can learn and grow and in which residents feel safe, comfortable and at home. Sara Fawcett, Community Relations Coordinator

Sara, who joined the team in 2001, works with prospective residents and their families with coordinating the move in process. She also provides education to referral sources and the community on what Appleton Retirement Community offers to seniors. Sara is often on a tour or out of the office but can be reached via cell or email with any questions regarding becoming a resident or scheduling a tour for a prospective resident. Amber Nett, Administrative Assistant

Amber, who joined the team in 2011, provides resident, marketing and staff support. She knows the answers to almost all questions and can get you to the proper person to talk with if it’s not her. Amber distributes invoice and collects monthly rent payments. Amber also sells laundry tokens for IL residents. Should she be unavailable, rent payments can be placed in the “OFFICE” mailbox to the right of the “OUTGOING” mailbox in the main lobby. Amber enjoys getting to know new resident and their families and helping them make a smooth transition to ARC by providing a new resident orientation. Amber’s email is [email protected] and her ext. Sheila Danitz, Assistant Community Relations Coordinator

Sheila, who joined the team in 2000, works closely with the Community Relations Coordinator in assisting potential residents and their families during the inquiry and move in process.  She also coordinates marketing and public relations efforts. Colleen Brickner, Life Enrichment Coordinator

Colleen, who joined the team in 2001, leads the Life Enrichment Department in planning and executing activities, events and trips for the residents. She also coordinates entertainment, our bus drivers and volunteers. Her goal is to organize stimulating and interesting activities to enrich the lives of our residents. Colleen is the one to contact for reserving a lounge for a get together. She is often on a trip or at an activity so the best way to reach her is via email at [email protected]. Her ext. is 1306. 

Cheri Castellion, Culinary Services Coordinator

Cheri, who joined the team in 2002, oversees the dining services department. Cheri appreciates resident feedback at monthly resident council meetings. She is affectionately referred to as the “singing cook” by the residents. Cheri shares her love for singing and brightens the days of residents at the same time. She’s even learned the lyrics to songs upon request. Cheri truly lives with a passion to enrich the lives of our residents. Cheri works every other weekend thus has days off during the week. She is in early in the morning and done for the day by early afternoon. She does have an ext. but due to the noise in the kitchen rarely hears the phone. Her ext. is 1305. Her email is [email protected] Should you wish to provide a cake at a mealtime to celebrate a resident’s birthday, please email Cheri two weeks in advance so she can adjust the dessert on the menu for that day. 

Valerie Barton, Environmental Services Coordinator

Val, who joined the team in 2012, oversees maintenance and housekeeping services. She coordinates the resident apartment cleaning schedule as well as the cleaning of the rest of the building. Val also coordinates maintenance of apartments as well as the rest of the community and grounds. She coordinates fire safety and the evacuation plans. Val has a real heart for our resident and keeps their comfort and well-being at the forefront of all she does and plans. The process for reporting a maintenance request is to tell a staff member. Then a staff member will mark the request on the maintenance log which is checked several times per day. Danielle Lucht, RN, Health Care Coordinator

Danielle, who joined the team in 2020, oversees the caregiving team and the care of the assisted living residents at Appleton Retirement Community. She assesses new residents prior to admission and coordinates a plan of care for each resident. Danielle directs the overall wellness program for residents with the goal of providing a safe and healthy environment for all while providing for personal resident needs. Desiree Lindholm, RN, Assistant Health Care Coordinator-

Desiree, who joined the team in 2015, assists in overseeing the caregiving team and the care of assisted living resident at Appleton Retirement Community. She assesses new residents prior to admission and coordinates a plan of care for each resident. Desiree assists in directing the overall wellness program for residents with the goal of providing a safe and healthy environment for all while providing for personal resident needs. Amber Somers, LPN, Daytime Nurse

Amber, who joined the team in 2019, provides nursing oversight during the daytime.  Amber works closely with the Health Care Coordinator and assists with resident reassessments, monthly vitals, communications with physicians, training of new staff and continuous training of current staff, etc. She assists residents in coordinating their medical appointments as well as transportation to those appointments. Upon coming to work at ARC, Amber commented that it just feels so right to be here. She’s glad to be working in an environment that is intentional about providing excellent and personalized care to each resident. Amber’s email is [email protected] and her ext. Is 1326 

Elizabeth Bridges, LPN, PM Nurse

Elizabeth, who joined the team in 2017, provides nursing oversight in the afternoon and evening. Elizabeth works closely with the Heath Care Coordinator and assists with resident reassessments, monthly vitals, communications with physician, continuous training of current staff, training of new staff, and so much more. She assists residents in coordinating their medical appointments as well as transportation to those appointments. Elizabeth enjoys learning about each residents individual needs. She feels each day is a new opportunity to make a difference in the lives of our residents. Elizabeth’s email is [email protected] and her ext. is 1326 

Seryn Raspotnik, LPN, Lead Resident Assistant

Seryn, who joined the team in 2020, provides daytime support to the Health Care Coordinator and daytime nurse as well as leadership to the caregiving team. She assists day staff in maintaining a high standard of service while ensuring personalized resident care for all our assisted living residents.  

Kayla Parker, LPN, Lead Resident Assistant

Kayla, who joined the team in 2017, provides afternoon and evening support to the Health Care Coordinator and PM nurse as well as leadership to the caregiving team. She assists PM staff in maintaining a high standard of service while ensuring personalized resident care for all our assisted living residents.  

Pam Akins,  Lead Resident Assistant

Pam, who joined the team in 2016, provides afternoon and evening support to the Health Care Coordinator and PM nurse as well as leadership to the caregiving team.  

Alexa McArthur, LPN, Lead Resident Assistant

Alexa, who joined the team in 2020, provides overnight support to the Health Care Coordinator as well as leadership to the overnight caregiving team. She assists the overnight caregiving team in maintain a high standard or service while ensuring personalized resident care for all our assisted living residents.

Ann Turner, Lead Resident Assistant

Ann, who joined the team in 2006, provides overnight support to the Health Care Coordinator and leadership to the caregiving team.
